THRIL Certificate Programs Awarded Certification and Registration Maintenance Program Points by the BCRSP, CRBOH and the ABIH
Oilfield Safety Practitioner and Oilfield Safety Specialist Offer Essential Safety Training to Achieve Competency
ComplyWorks Ltd. is pleased to confirm that the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP), the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH), and the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) have awarded Certification Maintenance and Registration Program Points (CMPs) for two competency-based certificates, the Oilfield Safety Practitioner (OSP) and the Oilfield Safety Specialist (OSS).
THRIL (The Health, Safety, and Environment Resources iLibrary), which has been established to provide a path towards incremental learning, consists of the Core, Elective, and Enrichment course series. The OSP certificate requires successfully mastering ten hours of training time in the Core course series. Upon receiving the OSP certificate, the OSS certificate will be issued by successfully mastering twelve hours of training time in the Elective course series.
The OSS certificate program represents a minimum standard in occupational health and safety due diligence training for all oilfield employees. It offers a framework for ensuring employees receive the essential training required to achieve competency. The THRIL programs have also been designed to lead towards a recognized certification and provide an opportunity for certified health and safety professionals (CRSPs and ROHs) to easily and inexpensively obtain compulsory certification maintenance points to preserve their designations.
The Certification Maintenance Points (CMP) are recognized as follows:
CORE: 10 hours required for the Oilfield Safety Practitioner (OSP) certificate
ELECTIVES: 12 hours training required for the Oilfield Safety Specialist (OSS) certificate
