On August 18th, ComplyWorks was a proud sponsor and participant in the Enform 2010 Annual Golf Classic in support of the Walt Gabert and Paul Schoenhals Scholarship Fund. With a $10,000.00 Hole-in-One prize being offered, golfers enjoyed the challenge at hole #12 but, unfortunately, no one was victorious. In lieu of the Hole-in-One prize, a draw was held for a $100.00 gift card with Art Brochu of AJB Developments winning the prize. Congratulations and thank you to all participants and Enform for a wonderful day of golf and for supporting petroleum technology education.

A few of the ComplyWorks Customer Support Representatives are all smiles as they enjoy a lovely floral arrangement sent by a ComplyWorks' Contractor Member who appreciated the excellent customer service he received. "We are always happy to give our best assistance and are overwhelmed when a job well done is recognized with such an act of kindness!" stated Sheryl, one of our Customer Support Representatives.

(Previously known as Safety Stand Down Week)
What is it?
Safety Stand Down is a designated time for CEOs, executives, and senior managers to talk about safety issues directly with frontline workers.
When is it?
Safety Stand Down usually takes place during a focus week in the third week of January of each year. However, this time frame is only a suggestion. You should choose a time frame that works best for your organization. The important thing is to make time for safety - no matter when that might be.
Why should you participate?
Frontline workers are generally the largest group in the workforce. Most recordable incidents and injuries occur within this group - particularly among new workers. Too often, the safety messages that trickle down to this group become diluted. However, when senior management takes the time to discuss safety issues "in person" during Safety Stand Down, this group is more likely to pay attention.
Who can participate?
Past participants have included oil and gas producers, explorers, and service contractors. However, the concept can apply to company in any industry and in any country.
Where should you visit?
The worksite location for your Safety Stand Down event is entirely up to you. Some executives choose plants or permanent sites, while others visit temporary sites such as drilling and service rig operations. The best advice is to go where you'll have the greatest impact.
Do you have to shut down your operations?
It's not necessary to shut down operations. But, if you do shut down the operation you intend to visit for an hour or a day, your safety commitment to the frontline workers is reinforced.
