The Monthly Newsletter From ComplyWorks

New Feature: See which of your employees have completed or started orientations

As a result of numerous requests from our subscribers, we’ve added a new feature: orientation tracking. This allows you to see who in your company has started and/or completed an employing company’s orientations, so you can quickly check who’s completed the orientations required to work on that company’s sites.

To see which of your employees have completed or started an orientation, log-in as usual, click the Clients tab and select the appropriate employing company. Next, click the Orientation Tracking tab to view a list of employees that have started and/or completed orientations for that employing company. You can also view and print individual certificates for completed orientations that employees can bring with them to the job site.

Partner News: Incident tracking with ABCan-Track

Successful incident investigations rely on timely, accurate and readily accessible incident reports. Our partner, Alliance Borealis Canada, recently released ABCan-Track, a full-featured online incident tracking system. This easy-to-use and affordable tool enables companies of any size to quickly take advantage of effective, efficient incident tracking, including:

  • Capturing, storing and accessing information on all types of incidents.
  • Storing photographs, scanned documents and other files, and making them available as part of the incident report.
  • Assigning users only the access they need to enter information, view data and/or prepare reports.
  • Assigning and monitoring follow-up actions.
  • Tracking all changes made in the course of the investigation so it can be audited later.
  • Sorting data on-screen to see trends, patterns and outstanding follow-up actions, exporting reports to Microsoft Excel, and printing individual incident reports and investigation summaries.

New Employing Companies

The more employing companies that use ComplyWorks for contractor and supplier management, the more everyone benefits. Contractors and suppliers have more work opportunities, and employing companies have a broader, deeper pool of contractors and suppliers—in more places—to hire. We’re pleased to welcome the following employing company as a ComplyWorks customer:

  • Baytex Energy Limited—Oil and gas producer with Canadian operations in NE British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, along with U.S. operations in North Dakota.

Tips & Tricks: Allowing all employing companies, a few, or only requestors to see your profile

Having access to a pool of prequalified service providers is one of the benefits of ComplyWorks that employing companies routinely tell us about. For example, if a property management company doesn’t have a flood restoration specialist in a particular region on its prequalification list, the property manager can use ComplyWorks to search for flood restoration specialists in the area that are compliant with its requirements. Or, if an oil and gas company needs a welder right now but the local welders on its list are all unavailable, it can search for other welders in the area that subscribe to ComplyWorks, meet its requirements, and can get to work the same day.

To allow your service company to be found by new employing companies, you have to set your permission profile to allow those employing companies to see your information. You can do this by allowing all employing companies to see your profile, or by allowing only employing companies that you select. And, if there are specific companies you don’t want to see your information, you can block them while allowing the rest of the employing companies in ComplyWorks to see your profile.

  1. Log in and click Company in the top row.
  2. Click Permission Profile in the left-hand column. The “Employer Company Data Access Permissions” page will appear, which includes the “Set permission to view your HSE data” box (below).

  1. Select who you would like to see your profile:

a) To let all employing companies see your profile, select “ALL Registered Employer Companies can access”.

b) To let only specific employing companies see your profile, select “ONLY SELECTED Employer Companies can access”.

c) To let all employing companies see your profile except for ones that you specifically block, select “All EXCEPT SELECTED Employer Companies can access”.

  1. Click “Submit” to change your permission profile.
  2. If you selected b) or c) in step number 3, scroll down to the “Select your target audience” box, and select the companies you would like to see your information or block, respectively.
