Employers: Manage multiple levels of contractor and supplier compliance

One of the new features of the recently released ComplyWorks Management System 3.8.2 is Multiple-Level Compliance. This allows employing companies to apply different compliance requirements to contractors and suppliers based on type, location, service they provide, or any other relevant criteria.

Being able to evaluate contractors and suppliers for compliance with relevant, situation-specific requirements allows employing companies to address the compliance needs of various groups across their organizations. For example, an operations group at a mine can apply more stringent safety compliance requirements to contractors that work below ground than it does to those that work above ground, while the mining company's supply chain group can manage compliance of the same contractors with corporate procurement and finance policies.

Contractors and suppliers will also benefit from Multiple-Level Compliance. With a couple of mouse clicks, they can view all of their compliance ratings with each level of each employing companies’ requirements, along with the factors affecting their rating. This gives them a clear view of what employing companies require, and what they have to do in order to become compliant with those requirements and get to work.

Tips & Tricks: Online Orientation Access Codes

An increasing number of employers are delivering their safety orientation programs on ComplyWorks so that contractors and suppliers can complete them prior to arriving at work sites.

The process is simple: contractors and suppliers receive an email requesting that individuals who work for that company complete the orientation online. Along with straightforward instructions, the email includes an access code that uniquely links that contractor or supplier company to that particular orientation.

Our Help Desk receives many calls each week from employers, contractors, suppliers and individuals asking us to find those access codes for them. This information is readily available within your ComplyWorks accounts. We are happy to assist, but it is usually quicker for you to retrieve the information yourself. Additionally, you may need to find the access codes at times when the Help Desk is not available.

For Employers

  • Log in to your ComplyWorks account.
  • Select Works, then CourseWorks Orientations.
  • On the page that appears, select the applicable orientation.

  • On the screen that appears, Select 5. Results, then click Orientation Access Codes.
  • A list of contractor and supplier companies will appear, along with their unique access codes for the selected orientation.

For Contractors

  • From the options across the top of the screen, select Clients.

  • A list of your clients will appear. Click the name of the appropriate employer.
