ComplyWorks CourseWorks training now earns credit towards the University of Calgary’s Health, Safety and Environment Certificate

Calgary, Alberta (June 28, 2010) – Contractors and workers completing THRIL online courses taken through ComplyWorks CourseWorks are now eligible to receive elective course credit in the Health, Safety and Environment Certificate program at the University of Calgary, ComplyWorks Ltd. announced today.

THRIL (The Health, Safety and Environment Resource iLibrary) courses cover a wide range of health, safety and environment (HSE) topics, from Alberta OH&S for Utilities to Working in Confined Spaces. In addition to earning credit towards a University of Calgary certificate, the courses are recognized as meeting certification maintenance points by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP), the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists (CRBOH), and the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH). THRIL was developed by Gemini Performance Solutions Inc. and EHS Partnerships Ltd.

CourseWorks allows members of ComplyWorks to register for THRIL courses and complete them in as little as an hour from anywhere with an Internet connection. Instead of missing work to take training in a classroom setting, they can take the course online and show up on the job site ready to work.

“This recognition by the University of Calgary confirms the quality and relevancy of the THRIL courses available through CourseWorks,” says Cal Fairbanks, President and CEO of ComplyWorks Ltd. “We’re happy to be able to provide our members with new ways to complete the training they need to not just comply with safety requirements, but to arrive at the job site ready to work and stay safe.”
